Jarrett Allen delivered when it mattered most.
Tying his playoff career high with 22 points and adding 19 rebounds, Allen led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 114-102 win over the Toronto Raptors in Game 7, securing a spot in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Donovan Mitchell also scored 22 points, while James Harden added 18 as Cleveland closed out a series in which the home team won every game.
After trailing for much of the first half, the Cavaliers shifted momentum late in the second quarter and carried it through the third. A decisive 49-21 run turned a nine-point deficit into a double-digit lead, fueled by defensive stops, rebounding, and transition scoring.
Allen was everywhere during that run, protecting the paint and creating extra possessions for Cleveland. The Cavs took advantage of mistakes, cleaned up on the boards, and kept the pressure on without giving Toronto much room to respond.
The Raptors, led by Scottie Barnes’ 24 points and nine rebounds and RJ Barrett’s 23, built an early lead but struggled to respond once Cleveland found its rhythm. Injuries and limited offensive support caught up as the game progressed.
Cleveland opened the second half with a 9-0 run to take control and maintained separation the rest of the way.
With the win, the Cavaliers advance to face the top-seeded Detroit Pistons in the next round. Game 1 is set for Tuesday night in Detroit.
