God Shammgod is on the move again, this time heading to New Orleans to join Jamahl Mosley’s staff with the Pelicans. After working with the Magic, Shammgod is stepping into a new role on Mosley’s bench and bringing the same reputation that has made him one of the most respected development voices in the league.

His departure is a notable one for Orlando, where he was more than just a staff presence. Shammgod helped in Anthony Black’s growth over the past season, helping guide a young guard through an important part of his career.

For New Orleans, the addition gives Mosley another trusted voice with strong player-development credentials. Shammgod has built a long-standing reputation for connecting with players and helping them sharpen the details that matter most once the game speeds up.

The move also reflects how valuable assistant coaches have become in today’s NBA. Teams are constantly searching for experience, teaching ability and relationships that can help bring out the best in young talent, and Shammgod fits that mold.

Orlando now loses a meaningful piece of its staff, while New Orleans gains someone who can impact the room from day one. For Mosley, it’s another familiar face and another support system as he continues building his staff in New Orleans.
